In April 2013, the Government announced new funding of £150 million for Physical Education (PE) and Sport. This funding was to be used to improve the quality and breadth of PE and Sport provision and was part of the legacy of the 2012 London Olympics. Funding has been allocated to all maintained and state – funded schools since 1st September 2013.
Schools are free to determine how best to use this funding to improve the breadth of PE and Sport provision. At Western Downland CE VA Primary School we review this year on year to make sure that we target the money in a way that will have the greatest impact for the greatest number of pupils. The following link will take you to detailed information of how we spend this money and the impact that this has had.
