My Happy Mind
We are proud to be a myHappymind school. myHappymind is an NHS-backed programme designed to help children understand how their brains work and to develop the skills and habits they need to be their very best selves.
At Western Downland CE VA Primary School, myHappymind supports the development of a positive mental wellbeing culture, helping children to build resilience, self-esteem, confidence, and strong character. The programme is grounded in the latest research in science and psychology and supports children to develop lifelong habits that enable them to thrive.
Teaching and Learning
myHappymind is taught across the whole school from Early Years to Year 6 through weekly sessions. Each year group follows a tailored version of the curriculum, with Year 6 having a specific focus on transition to secondary school.
